Through the jigs and the reels, this tour season has flown by so I wanted to stop and take a moment to say hello to our long-time followers and welcome more recent friends.
Let’s call this a re-introduction between us and the town we love.
My name is Liz and I’m the owner, operator and guide for Lunenburg Walking Tours. Like so many people, I came to Lunenburg as a visitor and instantly fell in love with the charm of this old fishing town. 42 years and four kids later, I can’t stop talking about this place and have collected a rather vast array of tales ranging from ghost stories to reformed bottle fishermen (we all know that special police chief).
I believe that this town holds magic like salt water. It’s in the homes and in the people and it would be my pleasure to stroll the streets and tell you all about Lunenburg and its many stories. So if you’re a local looking to re-discover your hometown or are visiting from away, we hope you’ll book a tour with us; we’ve got a lot of catching up to do.
And in the service of storytelling, the gang and I at Lunenburg Walking Tours have decided to start a blog to share tidbits and fishermen’s tales, highlights of our tours and much more! We encourage one and all to follow us at our Facebook (Lunenburg Walking Tours) and Instagram (@lunenburgtours) for the latest blogs, funny stories and beautiful sunset pictures of the harbour. Check back every so often for our newest blog post!
We're so glad to have you come along!
-Liz
